In her "professional" life, Maggie is a registered Pet Therapy dog. She received her CGC (Canine Good Citizen certificate) in November 1997, and was accepted as a therapy dog in January 1998 by Therapy Dog Inc. She does pet therapy work at several local nursing homes, and also makes special appearances at local elementary schools and other community functions to promote the breed, rescue, and responsible pet ownership.
